Mike Trout Has To Be Jealous Of Rhys Hoskins Right Now

rrr

The greatest baseball player on the planet and future Philadelphia Phillies Centerfielder, Mike Trout has had a tough week. Not only has he gone hitless in his past 5 games for the first time in his career, but his 2021 outfield partner Rhys Hoskins is breaking Major League records while becoming best friends with Carson Wentz. Trout meanwhile, is stuck in Anaheim contending for a Wild Card and not having the twitter romance you know he wants with the Philly power couple.

No reaction from Carson, obviously. Yet, when the GOAT and self-proclaimed greatest person in human history by all the Philly Bloggers reaches out to the Super Bowl LII MVP, my man Rhys gets a snap response.

Rhys Hoskins is so locked in right now it’s not even fair. He even had Joe Maddon squirming this weekend. If the mad scientist and so called guru of baseball can’t figure the rookie out, will anyone be able to? Those poor, poor Cubbies. I’m embarrassed for them losing 2 of 3 to these bums.

Now, not only does Rhys have 11 home runs in his first 18 ball games, he has also walked 11 times in that same time frame. The dude is just an On-Base machine, who also happens to hit all the dingers.

It seems like yesterday I remember a few people telling me a certain prospect in Boston is better than this guy. The same prospect who is batting a respectable .129 in his last 8 games.

You know what I have to say about that?

According to @benharris of Phillies dot com, Rhys’ 78 home runs since the beginning of 2016 is the most by any Major or Minor Leaguer during that stretch. As a Philly sports fan, I am terrified of getting lost in any type of hype surrounding an athlete of this city. It’s just way too real not to with this guy. He even starts Triple Plays. We Phillies fans needed something to help us forget that we are 33 games under .500, 30 games back of 1st place, employ the worst 3B in baseball, and hold a collective 4.86 ERA by their starting pitchers. Still scratching my head wondering how Bob McClure still has a job.

Be afraid National League. Be very afraid of this Rhys guy. Most importantly, be afraid of the horrible t-shirts that this website will be graced with this living legend’s image and likeness. Phillies baseball is back baby! Now tweet Mike Trout for me, Rhys. Tell him you and Carson want to make it a ménage.
