DeAngelo Williams Made His Pro Wrestling Debut Over The Weekend And Was Surprisingly Awesome

Woah! DeAngelo! Dude is an absolute beast! Aside from the overshoot at the end, almost leading to the end of his career, of course. Dave Meltzer talked about this debut on his show, Wrestling Observer Radio, and said Williams has the potential to be one of the greatest wrestlers he’s ever seen. Do I agree with that? Well, no, not yet. Psychology is such an important aspect of the art that I can’t make a bold statement like that from a hot tag sequence. I will say this is extremely impressive for the man’s first match though. Everything he did (other than the table botch) was just so smooth it was impeccable. Looked like a guy years into his career. Hell, he looked better than some guys on the main roster of WWE.

Williams’ tag team partner was Moose, AKA Quinn Ojinnaka, former NFL player, who’s been wrestling for a while now. He’s also really good.
