Office Lady Almost Gets Hit By Falling Sprinkler, Immediately Takes Said Sprinkler To The Face

FL – In one example of workers’ comp fraud out of Fort Lauderdale, a woman picked up a sprinkler head after it had fallen on her desk, then hit herself in the head with it to stage an on-the-job injury. Her employer’s insurance company got suspicious and referred the incident to Florida’s Division of Investigative and Forensic Services.

Now this is a true warrior of the cube who loathes her job. This isn’t a construction worker where they’re inherently trained to go down at the slightest hint of injury. But that’s a profession where you’re working in dangerous territory. Of course people would naturally go straight for the comp and have OSHA breathing down their company’s nuts. But for this secretary to instinctually recognize the opportunity to fraud the system by smashing herself in the face, you almost have to tip your cap. For her to not even think about security cameras, not so much. Gotta get ‘em back next time a sprinkler drops from the heavens on her desk in never years.

Plus that little dink on the forehead might not have been enough to dilute suspicion. If you’re going to commit insurance fraud, better make it count. Dude attacks the car like he’s straight out of 28 Days Later to make certain a claim will be justified. Personally I would’ve gotten my money’s worth and ran him over. Twice.
