Robbie’s Top 20 WrestleMania Moments – 16. The Undertaker Pulls Off The Greatest False Finish Of All Time
Sup yo? If you’re unaware, I’m doing a blog per day leading up to WrestleMania where I talk about my personal favorite 20 Mania moments of all time. Keep in mind I’m 18, so a lot of my picks will be on the more recent side.
16. The Undertaker Pulls Off The Greatest False Finish Of All Time
Once The Streak really started picking up steam, each one of The Undertaker’s WrestleMania matches had moments that made you believe “This could be it!”. In the back of your head, though, you knew there was no chance. Even the best false finishes in his matches with Shawn Michaels were only 99% believable. This one was the full 100%.
Shawn’s internal conflict as the referee in the match may have gotten excessive at points, but I’ll be damned if it didn’t build to this snapping point perfectly. With him in the stripes, I had accepted that The Streak was over before he even started the count of 3. Instead, we were given what I consider the greatest false finish of all time.
