Watching Hugh Jackman Record Audio For A Fight Scene In Logan Is Fun And Terrifying All At Once
Jesus Christ. In case the Australian bloodline and muscles didn’t convince you that fucking with Hugh Jackman was a bad idea, this video certainly did. I guess a part of you becomes a savage like Wolverine after playing the character for almost two decades. And then he just turns it off and says “Hi.” Pretty awesome stuff.
I actually saw Logan this weekend and I would definitely recommend it for anyone that was a fan of the other X-Men movies. It was likely Jackman’s last time playing Wolverine and could be the last time Patrick Stewart was Professor X. Plus a Wolverine movie with an R-rating just feels right. Those claws make a mess and boy does it get messy at some parts. I also wouldn’t say it’s a “typical” superhero movie in that it was a little more grounded I guess? But that made it more of an actual film which was definitely worthy of a trailer with “Hurt” by Johnny Cash.
Fuck that song is great.
By the way, I still haven’t gotten over the X-Men cartoon being cancelled in the 90s. I can’t even begin to imagine how the guy that plays Wolverine feels.

And just because this blog is about recording audio in movies, this Mummy trailer that mistakenly got released without sound effects still makes me laugh.
