This is the Best OBJ/Boat Boyz Video You'll See All Year

I’m going to assume Patriots fans put this video together, because it’s just that brilliant.

I think I speak for most of us when I say that for all the talk about the Dynasty, Defending the Wall, the invincible coach and the GOAT – every word of which is completely sincere, by the way – there is only one thing we legitimately fear, and that’s the nightmare scenario of being beaten by the Giants once again. I’ll admit that the first quarter of yesterday’s game, when the defensive line was coming after Aaron Rodgers from all directions like ninjas, it made my PTSD from the Super Bowls That Shall Not Be Named kick in. I’m not proud to admit it, but the Giants have been the clown outside my window for nine years now. And the fact that they’ve had like three good months in that time and two of them cost us LomBrady trophies haunts my every waking step.

So just watching them get bounced out of the playoffs would have been great. But the universe decided to go us one better with this Boat Boyz controversy. It wasn’t enough to see them get neutralized as a threat. Their face-of-the-franchise golden child gets exposed as the unstable, unreliable, me-first, undisciplined, selfish head case he is. And for the foreseeable future, every time Odell Beckham’s name comes up, instead of always hearing about that goddamned catch he made in a loss two years ago, we’ll get to talk about how he chose to get ready for a game in Green Bay in January by wearing work boots on a boat in Miami. And how he couldn’t be counted on to hold onto the ball when his team needed him.

It’s as if God wanted to do us a solid. And He succeeded. OBJ is going to continue to be a distraction. Just another mercurial, coach-killing  wideout like Terrell Owens who’ll never win anything. I’m taking whatever fear I’ve had of the Giants, shredding it, burning the scraps and smoking the ashes. Because as long as OBJ is on that team and dragging them down with his nutjobbery, we’ll never have to worry about them again.
