^those escalated quickly

I don’t know this rapper Ralo even though I presume his mixtape is as fiery as the lemon pepper wet wings at JR Crickets. And I can certainly see the angry Instagram people’s points about how this is a little dehumanizing and clearly just for attention…but the dude still went to a homeless shelter and threw out $30,000 to homeless people. Yeah the money might not be as well used as it would be going to a professional organization that helps the homeless but, as far as a rapper goes, this might be the most conscientious thing they’ve ever done. Ralo here didn’t go to the strip club with his stacks, he went to a place where people actually needed it and gave it to those people. He took an interest in them when a lot of them haven’t, whether he handed the money out one by one like the Monopoly man or threw it in the air and let them figure it out. Maximum effort would be nice but some effort is better than no effort.

Also I fully admit I may be naive in the 2016 rap game but how does a predominantly mixtape rapper have $30,000 to throw in the air from a sick sports car? Is that world that lucrative or is he giving away like 25% of his net worth for a good Instagram video? I’m still team Ralo and I know accusing a rapper of financial improprieties is pretty unconventional but I’m having a hard time making sense of things here.

UPDATE after I hit publish: Apparently Ralo claims he made $12 million in drugs before he started rapping…slightly more lucrative than bussing tables while learning Fruity Loops. But at least that makes WAY more sense than getting filthy rich off the mixtape rap game.
