I Disagree With This List Of The 5 Most Crucial Things Successful People Do In The First Hour of Their Day

sucdsss

So I saw this list on Dailymail today. The five crucial things the most successful people do in the first hour of the day. Well since I’m the most successful person I know not named Peter Chernin I figured I’d chime in with my critique of this list.

1. Get in some pre-work exercise: Going for a run or hitting the gym before work is essential. It clears your mind and psyches you up for the day ahead and any challenges it might bring.

Wrong. Running and hitting the gym is for suckers. Because while you’re at the gym doing “cardiovascular stuff” I’m doing a different type of excerise. Just a little something I call mental windsprints. Ever heard of it? Just looking in the mirror throwing math equations at myself. Brain needs to wake up just like the rest of your body. Point Pres

2. Eat a healthy breakfast: You can’t expect to be productive if you’re not fueling your body properly, so eat a healthy breakfast as soon as you get into the office. By starting the day off well, and ensuring that you’re giving your energy levels the best possible boost, you’ll find it so much easier to focus throughout the day and stay motivated. The most successful people make wise choices when it comes to their first meal of the day.

I’m convinced eating breakfast is the biggest sham in the history of the world. The breakfast people brainwashed the fuck out of America. I almost never eat breakfast, but when I do I feel gross, sleepy and slow. My breakfast is coffee. Black. Like a man.  With a side of cream and sugar.  It’s like a straight shot of adrenaline to the brain. No grease from breakfast foods to interfere or dull the effect. Maybe wash it down with an aderral. Get myself bouncing off the walls. Maybe blast a little Crazy Train and run out of my front door like I’m running out of the tunnel for the Pats. All while you’re sitting down eating 2 eggs and hash browns needing to shit your brains out and take a nap. I like my odds.

3. Clear your inbox: Whilst many people say you should leave this until the afternoon, it’s important to start the day off as you intend to go on so as soon as you sit down to work, make it a priority to clear your inbox, and respond to any urgent queries.

Pfft. This is night before shit. I clean my inbox before I go to sleep. Then I wake up before the stock market opens in China with a clean slate ready to buy and sell people all day long.

4. Determine your goals for the day: Once you’ve sorted through your inbox and you know exactly what needs doing, make sure to set clear goals for the day ahead. Whether it’s signing off new artwork, catching up with employees or running through upcoming presentations, it will help you to stay on track and be productive if you know exactly what you want to have accomplished by the end of the day.

Again this is night before stuff. You should know everything you have to do the next day the night before. I take out my Larry David notebook and write my to do list for the next day. Then I just cross shit off as I go. The only flaw in this plan is I lose my Larry David book once every 6 months.

5. Set yourself a priority list: You can’t go wrong with a to-do list, so after you’ve set yourself goals for the day, make a list of the key tasks that need completing, in order of priority and importance.

Way to steal my brain from #4. I just said I create a To Do list before I go to bed. That’s how ahead of the game I am. And while you’re wasting your time doing things I finished the night before I’m out in the streets creating content.  Like what you ask?  Oh just creating new franchises like “Dave Walks To Work” while people are still in their pajamas and slippers.  That’s King Kong type shit. Content, content, content. Blog never sleeps and neither do I.
