Knox News - Tennessee redshirt senior defensive lineman Danny O’Brien has been dismissed from the team for an undisclosed violation of team rules, according to a release from the Tennessee athletics department on Monday night.

O’Brien was carted off the field on a stretcher during the fourth quarter of Tennessee’s double-overtime loss to Texas A&M on Saturday. After having a precautionary examination at a local hospital, O’Brien flew back to Knoxville with the team.

The release by the university said the dismissal was unrelated to O’Brien’s injury “however, should he require any additional care it will be provided by the University of Tennessee.”

Listen by definition I have no idea what the “undisclosed” violation is that got Danny O’Brien kicked off the Vols. But what I do know is that it has got to be REALLY FUCKING BAD. Like really bad. To have the coach flat out give you the boot when the main image burned into everyone’s mind if you being carted off the field on a stretcher in a neck brace while every player on the field was in a prayer circle.

We’re talking like felony crime, put a teammate in the hospital, unprotected sex with the coach’s wife level violation.

Glad he’s ok. Need to know wtf he did now.
