The Phillies Tribute Video To Ryan Howard Is One Big Hat Tip The Good Ol' Days

It is, as it should be. Remember the time Ryan Howard won MVP in one of the greatest individual seasons in MLB history by spanking 58 homeruns with a .313 BA and 149 RBI’s? THAT’S The Big Piece this city needs to recall. The one that was power slinging catalyst behind 5 straight NL East Division Championships and a World Series victory (which should have been multiple rings, but we digress). Not the one who rounded out his apathetic years on the team with a .196 BA and 114 strikeouts in 358 plate appearances. Howard still knocked out 25 dingers this season, so maybe his career isn’t over yet. But it is with the Phillies. And as the last lingering link to the 2008 World Fucking Champions, farewell and adieu to fair Golden Sombreros.

Never forget. Through the ups and downs, Ryan Howard is still the greatest first baseman in Philadelphia Phillies history. Continue to give the credit where credit is due.
