If Odell Beckham Says The Giants Are Going To The Super Bowl This Year, Then The Giants Are Going To The Super Bowl This Year

odb

NY Post- Odell Beckham Jr. closed out his first New Jersey football camp with some inspirational words delivered to the assembled kids and a prediction he hopes resonates throughout the NFL. Perhaps the messages were one in the same, as it is Beckham’s wish and desire — his dream — to help the Giants back to the Promised Land. “Just chase your dreams, man … chase ’em,’’ Beckham said Tuesday. “You never know where you’ll end up if you don’t go for it. “Most importantly, go Giants this year! Super Bowl 51 in Houston. We will be there.’’

Lets roll Odell! Sure telling a bunch of kids that probably paid through the nose to go to your camp that the Giants are going to the Super Bowl isn’t the same as getting up on a podium and doing it in front of a gaggle of reporters. But that’s the beauty about predictions. Nobody really remembers them or where they came from unless they come true. Joe Namath casually mentioned that the Jets were going to win Super Bowl III by the pool likely in between sessions with whoever was the hottest supermodel back then. The only way you really get burned by predictions or guarantees is if you keep making them over and over again only to fall short over and over again. *Cough, Patrick Ewing, cough*. All the Giants need is Tiki to chirp about Eli again, a little bit of good health luck, and a dominant left tackle to magically fall into their laps before we can start booking flights and hotel rooms in Houston.

Oh yeah, and having a defense that isn’t an absolute sieve would help too. Make sure to get to work on that, Spags.
