Lena Dunham Says Kanye's Video For "Famous" Made Her Feel Sad And Unsafe

RS- While no one has yet accepted Kanye West’s invitation to “sue [him] already” over his provocative, controversial “Famous” video, Girls creator-star Lena Dunham has criticized the clip. The writer-actress blasted the project in a lengthy Facebook post, calling it “one of the more disturbing ‘artistic’ efforts in recent memory.”

“Let’s break it down: at the same time Brock Turner is getting off with a light tap for raping an unconscious woman and photographing her breasts for a group chat … As assaults are Periscoped across the web and girls commit suicide after being exposed in ways they never imagined… While Bill Cosby’s crimes are still being uncovered and understood as traumas for the women he assaulted but also massive bruises to our national consciousness … Now I have to see the prone, unconscious, waxy bodies of famous women, twisted like they’ve been drugged and chucked aside at a rager?” Dunham wrote.

“I’m sure that Bill Cosby doll being in the bed alongside Donald Trump is some kind of statement, that I’m probably being trolled on a super high level,” she continued. “I know that there’s a hipper or cooler reaction to have than the one I’m currently having. But guess what? I don’t have a hip cool reaction, because seeing a woman I love like Taylor Swift (fuck that one hurt to look at, I couldn’t look), a woman I admire like Rihanna or Anna, reduced to a pair of waxy breasts made by some special effects guy in the Valley, it makes me feel sad and unsafe and worried for the teenage girls who watch this and may not understand that grainy roving camera as the stuff of snuff films.”

What the hell is she even talking about there? Snuff films? Shut up dude. Seriously. That went way off the rails. This is the problem with Lena Dunham and people like her. She wants the world to be free and expressive and progressive and artistic and let people be their true selves at all times………until something happens that she deems inappropriate and offensive. Like when it involves one of her best friends like Taylor Swift. Then it’s gross and is a snuff film and is rape. She can’t have it both ways. Either let people be expressive in their works in any way or don’t let anybody do anything. Also, aren’t Lena’s parents nude photographers or some shit? Seems weird for her to blow up at Kanye for making a video with a bunch of nude celebrities when her parents are in the same line of work.

The other problem is that Lena gets offended by EVERYTHING. Kanye’s video wasn’t offensive. It was just weird but every little thing offends her and in turn cheapens the things we should actually be pissed off and offended by. For her to talk about Kanye’s music video in the same breath as Stanford’s Brock Turner who sexually assaulted a woman is insane and borderline psychotic behavior from her. Those things are in different stratospheres and Lena casually mentions them like they’re directly connected events. Get the fuck outta here. Lena thinks she’s being part of the solution when she says things like this when in reality she’s being the very definition of the problem.

PS- Remember that time Lena fingered her little sister when they were kids then joked about it in her book? That was weird.
