Last year I blogged about this event and pumped up how many superstars were playing and this year the rosters are just as stacked. But, I’ll admit something: I didn’t think they’d actually play hard. I figured it would be an all-star environment and everyone would kinda just dick around out there. Guess what? I was very wrong. BU-BC hatred runs deep and even in the offseason, these guys really don’t want to lose to each other. It was a genuinely awesome and some really fun hockey too watch.

Of course, on top of the good hockey it’s just a great night. Great people, great cause, great beers on sale (which I did worry about with a game at a college), great everything. Can’t say enough good things about the entire evening. So if you’re in Boston on July 15th, grab a ticket. Puck drops at 7. It’s an excellent way to start off your Friday night while getting to watch NHL stars that would often cost you way more than $15, all while supporting our man Pete Frates and CCALS. The event’s definitely going to sell out so get them early. Last year raised over 40 grand with 3,500 people there so let’s try and top that this year.

PS – Bring cash for beer. I haven’t carried currency since about ’96 so that one got me last year and I had to go find an ATM on Comm.
