Listen everybody knows how much I love the state of Alabama. Just absolutely cherish it. The stories that come out of there are gold, maybe even more valuable than gold, whatever that is. The Tide fans are my favorite people (to observe from afar) on Earth. They’re the nexus of SEC football. They define the South. Their DAs and judges literally let kids skate on drug and stolen gun charges because they play football. It’s a magical, magical place. And a big reason for that is that it is stockpiled with the type of people who get themselves stuck in Barney heads for 5 hours and have to be taken to the fire department to have a team of 6 professionals surgically remove the Barney head from their human head.
Does the world need brain surgeons and scientists and brilliant mathematicians, of course. Let the Northeast handle all that. The world also needs never-ending entertainment, and that’s why every morning I wake up, I thank God for Alabama.
