Orioles Add To Their League Best Food Menu, Unveil 5 Awesome New Meals

In my 100% unbiased opinion, I believe that Camden Yards has the best food in all of Major League Baseball. “Hey RDT, have you eaten at all the stadiums?” Great question, and no I have not. But guess what, I don’t need to try all the food around the league to know that Baltimore has the best grub in the league, from the Crab dip fries, Ginos Burgers, Korean BBQ, the crab mac-and-cheese hotdog, Boogs BBQ, Pollock Johnny’s, Dempsey’s, bacon on a stick, chicken on a beer can, and the Flying Dog grill. All the food is unbelievable. And now they added more food because the Orioles love us and want us to fit cozily in their seats, so let’s take a look at what will send us to the ER with congestive heart failure this season.

Smoked BBQ Brisket Sandwich

BRUH. Look at this beauty. I’m not sure I want to be friends with you if you don’t like brisket. This is a perfect sandwich for a baseball game. You got the tender angus brisket, tossed in BBQ sauce, and topped with tobacco onions. I’ve never heard of tobacco onions, but they look like onion strings, and onion strings are god’s gift to earth. You can find this at the Eutaw Street Grill. There is a good chance I house 10+ of these this summer. Per game.

Spicy Chicken Chipper

What’s that? In the mood for some finger food during the game, but don’t want boring old nachos? Perfect. Smoked buffalo pulled chicken (pause: I said smoked buffalo pulled chicken) on house made chips, with diced celery and blue cheese dressing on it. It sounds good, it really does. Except for the blue cheese. We’ve talked about this before, about how ranch is the cock of the walk, this dish would taste better with ranch on it, or sriracha, or even more buffalo sauce. Blue cheese shouldn’t even be allowed into the stadium. It is a poor persons food. It’s lumpy, and smelly, and tastes like feet. For the right price, I’d be willing to try it, but I wouldn’t enjoy it with the BC dressing, take it off, or toss some ranch on it and I’d motorboat these bad boys.

Romo Chorizo Sausage

Nothing too fancy about this big boy. Just a chorizo sausage topped with cotija cheese which I already like more than blue cheese because it’s not made of mold, jalps, and tequila lime caramelized onions. That sounds absolutely delicious. Like I said earlier, nothing special about this one, why mess with perfection?

Jalapeño Bacon-Wrapped Hot Dog

This is probably my favorite item. Literally nothing more American than sitting in a ballpark, drinking a tall, cold Natty Boh, and murdering a hot dog or 3. The Orioles kill the game with their Esskay hotdogs, but this one takes the cake. This is a DEEP FRIED HOTDOG,  (pause again: I just said deep fried hotdog) wrapped in jalapeño bacon and American cheese. If I’m ordering this, I’m tossing on some onions, ketchup, and mustard as well. I love the jalapeño bacon, I can’t believe there are countries who will never get to enjoy jalapeno bacon, thoughts and prayers. And if I’m being honest, I’m not a big fan of slices of cheese on hot dogs, think it doesn’t add much flavor, but I can deal with it on this. Looking forward to trying one of these guys on Monday.

The High Heater Burger

This will be the big winner this summer. Look at that monster. Two patties, sautéed jalapeños, spicy pepper jack cheese, smoked bacon, and chipotle aioli. I’m fairly sure aioli is just a snobby way of saying mayonnaise, so that make it even better. There is a good chance this thing will cost $20, but look at it, it’s worth it. The aioli goes soooooo well with the bacon, and the two patties is a nice touch because why have 1 patty when you can have 2? I’m sure the Orioles resident food critic, Adam Jones, will put a hurting on a few of these burgers during the season, I suggest you go out to the yard and do the same.

Shout out to the O’s facebook for all the pics.
