Swedish Hockey Player Learns The Hard Way To Keep Your Head Up Coming Through The Neutral Zone

Well talk about some flashbacks to the Scott Stevens era. You never like to see a guy get dropped like that and need to get stretchered off the ice, but hockey is a contact sport and sometimes shit like this happens. Do you want to know how to avoid shit like this from happening to you? Don’t treat the neutral zone like you’re walking into a fucking picnic. Maybe it’s because he’s European and he doesn’t know any better. The ice surface is wider, the game is a little less physical, you don’t necessarily see many hits like this coming out of the Swedish league. But anybody who is playing hockey today had grown up watching guys like Scott Stevens make a living off of ending careers in the neutral zone like that. Get your eyes off the puck and look up that 6’1″ 214 lb train coming your way in Robin Jacobsson. Just brutal.

From everything I’ve seen so far, it looks like Kim Karlsson is gonna be alright. Definitely concussed as all hell right now, but at least he’s not dead. Either way, that’s the type of hit that changes everything about a player. The kind of hit that may not actually end your career, but yeah, you’re not going to be the same player ever again. Paul Kariya and Eric Lindros know what I’m talking about.
