Gawker – This morning, Twitter co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey announced he’s laying off 336 employees, but would do so “with the utmost respect for each and every person.” Also this morning, Twitter engineer Bart Teeuwisse woke up, checked his phone, and learned that he’d been laid off through iOS notifications.

Hey look at the bright side Bart, at least those milestones for prototyping are going to be slightly harder for them to hit now. But wow obviously we know Twitter can be vicious and Goodellian in how they swiftly judge accounts for the awful act of discussing and promoting timely sports content but I figured at least the employees would be safe. Getting your account disabled while you’re in it along with an email saying “You have been removed from Twitter, Inc” is just vicious. Maybe wait an hour or two until after the CEO’s announcement goes out before we start messing up people’s lives and stripping their livelihoods from them, you know? Seems like basic life ruining etiquette to me.

Good for Yahoo Finance looking out, though. Pretty much every default iPhone app like weather and stocks gets quarantined in a folder where I keep them hidden away like a mutant child being fed fish heads in a basement so it’s nice to know that at least one of them still has some use booty texting this guy about his impending unemployment.

PS should have chose Smugmug bruh
