Japanese Guy Live Streams Himself Accidentally Setting His Bedroom On Fire

Well that escalated quickly.  I guess fire extinguisher technology hasn’t made it’s way over to Japan.  Calling the fire department also apparently isn’t en vogue over there yet.  They’re still using the Throw Little Pans Of Water Onto A Raging Fire And Pray It Works technology. Honestly though, I understand that kid’s thought process on not calling the fire department. Anybody who has had a minor-to-major fire in their house or apartment knows the thought process too.  The second you dial up the fire the department it becomes a thing.  Firemen, fire trucks, sirens, paperwork, insurance claims, neighbors asking what the hell is going on.  The whole 9 yards.  You don’t want that.  It’s just a measly fire!  You can handle it.  I guarantee the whole time he’s thinking, “I can put this out.  It’s fine. This is just fine. Nobody needs to know this happened.” All the while the fire keeps growing and growing and the smoke becomes thicker and thicker. Next thing you know the whole apartment complex burns to the ground. Interesting move to try and put the fire out with cardboard and a blanket when all he was doing was fanning the flames. God bless him for not turning off his webcam as this happened.

PS- I almost had a scenario like this just yesterday. I burn Yankee Candles all day every day.  Well one of them is near the end so the wax and wick are way deep down and I can’t reach it because A) I don’t have a long neck lighter despite my love for candles and B) I have very chubby hands. So I started rolling up pieces mail, lighting one end and trying to light the candle that way. It took me a half an hour to get it and almost burned the place down on 15 different occasions. Worth it. I need my apartment smelling liked Spiced Oranges.
