Ok well now I feel bad. I mean not too bad. You are a kicker for a huge D1 program after all. You reap all the benefits of being on the Texas football team and your teammates busted their ass on the field to come back in that game and laid it all out on the line with the fate of their season hanging by a thread and you stepped in and missed a 0.5 yard kick when that’s literally your easiest job. So yeah after writing that long run-on sentence I actually don’t feel bad at all I guess – a 35 yard field goal then yeah I’d totally get it, shit happens, but an extra point? Yikes.

Good on Charlie Strong though, that’s definitely the takeaway from this story. Recruits might be turned off by the, you know, “results,” but always good to have a coach who is a good guy and will always get your back.
