The Falcons Have Done It Again, This Time Losing to the First Team Without a Completed Pass Since 1974

Other than the infamous Super Bowl debacle, this might be the Falcons' magnum opus. Fresh off a win against the undefeated 49ers to get right back in the thick of the NFC South title race, Atlanta went down to Tampa Bay and lost 16-0 to the Buccaneers.

The Bucs did not complete a single pass, the first team to do so in more than 50 years.

I didn't even know this was possible. Navy, running the triple option, completed five of nine pass attempts against Notre Dame on Saturday and rushed for 212 yards. Tampa Bay rushed for 324 yards against an NFL defense. Michael Penix threw more interceptions (4) than Baker Mayfield threw passes (3).

Every stat from this game would be unbelievable if it weren't for the fact it was a game that featured the Atlanta Falcons.

I don't know what record of futility you could find to one-up this one, but I'm extremely confident the Falcons will do it. What a team.
