One Of Us: New Mexico Coach Jason Eck Broke Down How Injuries Work In Football To Reporters By Comparing It To What Happens In Madden
Hell yes. Jason Eck is one of the most entertaining coaches, not just in football, but in all of America. He's also damn good and one of the guys that is somehow linked to basically every opening so far. And this makes even more sense why. We say it all the time, typically on Sunday's, that coaches need to hire people who play Madden just to remind them about how clock management works or when to go for it.
But not Jason Eck. He knows how to use Madden to explain injuries. It's a perfect breakdown too. Yeah a guy can be healthy enough to play but he might be a 78 vs an 80. That's why you go with a different guy, even though he might be the backup he's rated higher. This is the coachspeak I want from here on out. No more of this same old shit. Give me a guy who isn't afraid to rip a dude on his team for a dumb moment
Or a guy willing to have a little fun at his program
This is the type of dude we need in college football. Yes, we cheer for laundry, but the face of all these programs have always been coaches. It doesn't matter the players. They obviously matter, but we think of coaches first. Give me a dude like this for years in the sport. Plus, he speaks our language. Could have used NCAA Football, but that's picking nits here. I want him next to break down some play calls because he figured it out on a video game.
The best man. Jason Eck is going to be a superstar in this sport.
