BREAKING: The World Champion New York Knicks Have Hung Up Their NBA Cup Banner

Remember when the Knicks won the NBA Cup and the entire basketball world got pre-mad that the Knicks might hang up a banner for winning it? Forget the fact that it is an actual in-season tournament where the winner had hung up a banner for winning one even though those winners both had recently won an NBA championship, including the Lakers who won a bunch fo NBA championships in multiple cities.

What made it super weird is that the Knicks hadn't won a championship in 53 years (in case you haven't heard that enough recently). In fact, new Knicks banners in The Mecca were so rare, there was an actual Twitter meme where people would change the wording of an old banner with ridiculous shit.

Well now the NBA Cup banner is up and there is nothing anyone can really say about it because the Knicks decided to win an NBA championship as well, which is what those blokes across the pond call a Double (when a soccer team club wins a league title and cup title in the same season). So I guess if anybody has a problem with that, they can be upset that the Knicks ran through the NBA Cup then ran through the playoffs in historic fashion. The rest of us Knicks fans are just gonna smile as we get ready to seeing that glorious World Champions go up tonight.
