Grit: Mike McCarthy Spent All Of Halftime Inside The Blue Tent (Twisted Ankle), Hated Every Second Of It Because 'It's Really Hot In There'
I still can't get over Mike McCarthy going to the blue tent at halftime. That sentence alone is outrageous enough to stop a grown man in his tracks. A twisted ankle, missing all of halftime, still getting the win? That's the Mike McCarthy experience. However, his reasoning for hating being in the tent is perfect Mike McCarthy.
It's too hot in there. Mind you, the game was in Florida. I'm sure that had something to do with it, you know how it'd probably be cold in Green Bay. But I'm just guessing here. I'm just going to throw out that it's hot anywhere on that field in Tampa and if you go inside a tent of course it's hotter. That's just science, Mike. Then again, I don't want Mike McCarthy to act any other way. I want him to say dumb shit like this while twisting an ankle.
I do think there is grit from McCarthy here though. You twist your ankle any time recently? I'm not talking to the young people here. I'm talking to us in our late 30s and 40s. We don't roll ankles because I'm pretty sure it'd be as bad as tearing our Achilles. You just go down in a heap. You think you'll never walk again. I'd want to miss halftime too. Do think we need McCarthy in a scooter for next game though. Can't take any chances out there.
