'It's Rough. I Ain't Ever Lose Like This In My Life' - It Took Carnell Tate Just 5 Games To Realize How Miserable It Is To Play For The Titans These Days
Obviously when you're a top pick you're typically going to a shitty team. But that doesn't mean you're going to a shitty franchise. Sometimes you get lucky and join a good franchise who had a bunch injuries the year before and tanked. But this is the Titans. They are a bad franchise. They are also an irrelevant franchise being in the AFC South and everyone just kinda forgetting about them.
It doesn't help that these are the highlights from the Titans season so far:
Not good. Then you also remember Cam Ward's 'if we're keeping it a buck, we're ass' quote from last year. Yeah, it checks out. The Titans fail top picks. I mean this is just a sad stat thread to look at:
I'm not an Ohio State fan by any means, but yeah, you don't lose 5 times a year there. So I don't blame Carnell Tate for being like yeah man, this sucks. No one wants to lose. No one wants to play for a bad franchise. No one wants to play for a team that should have a whole different name and jersey too. That would be step 1 to making the Titans matter again. I know they did a rebrand, but Titans is such a bad football team name.
At some point it might change. But it ain't happening this year. There's not much to feel excited about if you're a Titans fan. If you're only 5 games into the season and rookie WR is saying shit like this, it's bad. From the coaching staff to quarterback play to everything else. Feels like a rite of passage for a Titans rookie these days though.
