Elite Chemistry: According To Keri Russell, She Was Fucking Matthew Rhys In Trailers And "Everywhere" When They Were Making 'The Americans'

Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell have always been a celebrity couple I've been jealous of. Obviously we only know so little, but they always pop up at award shows looking like they're having a blast.  

Part of what made 'The Americans' such a great show was the chemistry between the two. The pair met on set in 2013 and immediately hit it off. Keri split from her husband in 2014 and the rest was history. When they weren't filming scenes for the show turns out they were having sex with each other in the trailers while wearing all sorts of disguises and wigs. 

(Hollywood Reporter) “We were falling in love and staying up all night and having sex all the time and just wearing disguises, like, I’m fucking [in] crazy wigs and wearing pearls,” The Diplomat star confessed. “When have you ever worn pearls and [been] fucking in trailers and fucking everywhere. I mean, it was insanity. It was so fun and sneaky, and sexy, and so good.”

That's how you make a great spy show, method acting. Take notes folks. When they called cut on set the sneakiness never stopped. Eventually the sixth season of the show earned Rhys an Emmy. 

Not a bad life for Rhys, huh?

People wanted to make a big deal out of Rhys not acknowledging Russell when he won this year the Emmys. 

Turns out it was all planned because he was nervous about giving a public speech. 

(Page Six) She revealed that she actually gave him permission to not thank her a few days prior, when he was “so nervous” about potentially having to give a public speech.

“I looked at him a few days before and I said, ‘OK, well, can you articulate what you’re most nervous about?’ ” she recalled. “And he’s like, ‘Yeah, having to speak.’ And I said, ‘Totally.’ And I said, ‘Take me off your plate. Like, you don’t have to thank me. I know you love me.’ ” She added, “I don’t care if you want to thank the dog walker. You do whatever you want to do. That’s your minute. That’s your 45 seconds. So I just said, ‘Take me off your plate.’ ”

As if Keri couldn't go up any higher in my mind. What a couple.
