VIDEO: Man Wrestling Giant Python in Jungle Nearly Gets Squeezed to Death By Giant Python
So apparently this isn't an anaconda. It's a reticulated python. The anaconda is the heaviest snake on Earth and is native to South America, whereas the reticulated python is the longest snake on Earth and can be found across Southern Asia.
But they both squeeze their prey to death. Both are more than capable of constricting the life out of a human in the jungle.
Now that "ImTarzan" is safe, is it ok to say I would have been ok with the snake winning that fight? It's hard to watch a human invade a random animal's habitat, attempt to physically dominate it for no reason at all other than his own personal gain, and not kinda feel like he's got it coming. I suppose you could argue that ImTarzan is educating people. That, along with a delightful Australian accent, is how Steve Irwin got away with it for all those years (until he didn't). I did learn a very small bit about reticulated python this morning as a direct result of this video. But this guy wrestled a snake in the jungle. If a jungle animal of any sort walked/slithered into any person's home, they'd be well within their right to shoot it in the face. And the homeowner could do it long before the animal attempted to grab him by the neck and mount him. It's only fair the same rules apply vice versa.
I wonder if the cameraman had a gun on him. Or a big ol' knife. Or any plan whatsoever for getting his Tarzan friend out of a precarious situation with a dangerous beast.
This Tarzan guy did have one good line in that video – "I have a blue belt in jiu jitsu, but he has a black belt in the jungle". Those would have been pretty famous last words before a 20-foot snake squeezed his eyes out of his skull. That quote would have ripped on a tombstone.
Good job not dying, though. I guess that was pretty impressive. Right around here, it wasn't looking great.

You know what they say – "Find what you love and let it kill you". Not many people who aren't alcoholics or drug addicts get to say they went out that way. But I've got a sneaky feeling that ImTarzan may someday join the likes of Steve Irwin, Sonny Bono, Dale Earnhardt, Damar Hamlin, etc., and end up being one of the "lucky ones". If that's what you want to call them. Some people might say that's a little dark, but I think it's kind of beautiful.
