Play Through The Pain: Todd Bowles Was Seen Falling To The Ground As The Bucs Won, Caught A Helmet To The Gut During The Celebration

So this started going viral. People thinking Todd Bowles collapsing to the ground because even he was stunned the Bucs held on. People saying this is what happens when you go for it on 4th down while up 14 instead of kicking an easy field goal. That one still doesn't make sense. Al Michaels kept trying to compare it to the Eagles/Rams game on Sunday except that's not true at all. That game, if the Eagles kicked a field goal was still a 2-score game (10 to 13) where this goes to a 3-score game (14 to 17).

Either way, this is the most accurate tweet of the night

The guy just can't figure out decision making or game management right. But, he battled. He quite literally battled to the final whistle because he didn't collapse out of shock. He collapsed because he caught a football to the gut

Are we sure that's a g and not an n? Because you crouch over like that after a nut tap. That's a look all us guys know too well. But, then again, I can't say I know what it feels like to catch a helmet to the gut. Can't feel good either way. There are few things worse than getting the wind knocked out of you. I assume that's what happened here? That first gasp for air when you get hit the worst spot, fuck that. You don't know how to react. You're pretty sure you're going to die and never breathe normal again.

Bowles would probably do this again for another win though. I mean you won, on the road, with a backup quarterback who is an undrafted rookie. Helmet to the gut no matter what to get another win.
