It Doesn't Get Sadder Than The Jets Bragging, For No Reason At All, That They Ran The Ball 4 Straight Times For 26 Yards (And Still Punted)

I had to check multiple times that this was real. I've seen so many people talking about it but even I was like you know, the Jets for how pathetic they are as a franchise, wouldn't brag about 26 yards on 4 runs. But they did. They did it on a possession where they punted. They did it for a 3rd quarter when they were down 13-3. That's where the Jets are right now. They had to find a way to brag about this.

That's the weirdest part of it all. There was no reason to do this. They didn't have to tweet this out. No one needed to know they moved the ball for 2 first downs on 4 plays. It's not abnormal to happen for most franchises. I know it's the Jets we're talking about here. But you're an NFL team. You should be able to get 2 first downs on 4 plays more than once a game. 

This is what we need though. There's a lot of parity in the NFL. Teams will go from being shit one year to Super Bowl contenders the next. But the Jets will always be the Jets. We can rely on them for doing something that brings everyone together - including their fans. They even knew this was as sad as it gets. It feels nice to have a little bit of normalcy and we got it here.

4 straight plays. 26 yards. The Jets found their drive of the year, which of course still resulted in a punt. Hell of a run.
