Dodgers Fans Left a 2-Run Postseason Game in the 8th Inning En Masse

Remember all of five days ago when there was national discourse about the Braves having an 80 percent-full ballpark for a Wild Card Series game that started at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday? I look forward to that level of scrutiny for the crowds in Los Angeles, where there were visible empty seats for NLDS games on Saturday and Sunday as well as swaths of fans leaving a 3-1 game in the 8th inning.

Why did you even go to begin with?

If it was 7-1 and you were very desperate to get that extra 30 minutes of sleep before work tomorrow, alright I guess. But this was a two-run game — at about 8:15 Pacific time, by the way. The Dodgers hit a home run in the 9th and had the tying run at the plate!

Just insane behavior. The good news is this game would have hypothetically been sold out if it had taken place in Philadelphia, which it did not because the Phillies did not make it to the NLDS.
