OFFICIAL: Manchester City Is FUCKED

Well this certainly feels real now. Manchester City might actually have the book thrown at them. I assumed that their money and status in the league meant that eventually they'd escape with a simple slap on the wrist and nothing more than publicly tainted titles. That does NOT appear to be the case with this statement from the Premier League. The other owners must have been screaming for major charges against City. You don't call something a "sham" unless you're intending to come down hard on the shady business done to the tune of almost $1Bn. 

And apparently it's not just the Premier League. The EFL and the whole English Pyramid is ready to hammer Man City

This would mean that Man City would be in leagues playing against school teachers, bartenders, and all these guys who play semi-pro on the weekends basically for fun. Against the powerhouses like Kings-Lynn Town, Chorley, and Spenneymore Town. INSANE that guys who just want to play on the weekends with their friends will have road games in The Ethiad in front of dozens of fans

This is without a doubt the biggest story in all of sports right now. There's no comparison. It'd be like kicking the Mets out of baseball and all of a sudden they're playing the Windy City Thunderbolts and The Joliet Jackhammers. Absurd. This is sounding like it's going to be a death sentence. It sucks for the real fans, the hundreds of them, who have been fans long before the oil money take-over and fraud that came with it. They enjoyed an incredible run, but if it takes decades to get back to the Premier League it might not even be worth the highs they've experienced for the last decade. 

I think this is going to ripple across Europe and implicate many other Clubs as well. It's not even close to being done
