Steve Sarkisian Says President Trump Attending the Tennessee-Texas Game Could Mean Team Communications Get Cut Off at Any Time

I've never seen something that will so obviously end up screwing Tennessee more than this right here. You're telling me that the Vols could be driving in the fourth quarter in a tie game and if Trump has to leave, my true freshman quarterback doesn't have his comms system working anymore?

Look, I get it's the President of the United States — and he's had some security issues in the past. But this is the No. 1 team in the country coming into Neyland Stadium as only a slight favorite. This is a potential career-altering win for Josh Heupel and Faizon Brandon. The only communications disruption I want and expect is that of the 100,000 Tennessee fans clad in a checkerboard pattern throughout the stadium making life hell for Arch Manning and Co.

A conspiracy theorist might say that President Trump will cause some sort of disruption in the stadium communications system at a critical point in the game to aid the Longhorns, have that information leaked after the fact and use that to hopefully help Republicans in what could be a very tight Texas Senate race this November. I wouldn't say that, but I see how a reasonable person could come to that hypothesis.

We gotta figure this thing out, man. Tennessee is already telling fans they need to be inside the stadium at 9 a.m. due to security. We can't have the actual game being affected.
