The Red Sox did not make things easy on Sunday - and that fits in perfectly with the rest of their 2026 season.  With a Magic Number of 1 to clinch a playoff spot, the Sox just needed to beat the Rays to officially lock in a Wild Card spot and qualify for the playoffs for a second straight season.
