Grade The Barstool New York Fantasy Football Draft
We are full swing in fantasy football season and BSNY has just completed it's annual draft. Instead of just having people reply on twitter, I decided to make a form to allow you guys to let us know who YOU think has the best teams this year.
As a prelim, to determine the draft order, we randomly assigned each member a MLB matchup for 9/1. Whichever manager had the team with the most runs got to select where they drafted first. Travy, who you might remember as one of the social guys who was a hero during the delivery man invasion of 2026, had PIT-SF which was a TWENTY FIVE RUN GAME. Here is how the "pick draft" went.

2nd pick (Marty): 1st overall
3rd pick (Meek): 2nd overall
4th pick (Tommy): 3rd overall
5th pick (Glenny): 10th overall
6th pick (Cody): 4th overall
7th pick (Nate): 6th overall
8th pick (Kenjac): 8th overall
9th pick (Hubbs): 7th overall
10th pick (Robbie S.): 9th overall
I'm in three leagues this year and have a 8th-12th pick in every one of them. I fucking hate it. And it's put me in a spot where I keep having to either draft the same players that I believe in or try to change it up for the sake of diversifying my portfolio. That said, I kinda love my team?
Daniels is my biggest question mark. He is an ELECTRIC QB but their OL is dogshit. What I'm kinda hoping for is that their defense isn't great and he is forced to play superman (inflating his stats). If not, I can depend on Blow Picks having 600 pass attempts again.
I kinda love the Cook/Hampton RB room. Cook was RB1 in the NFL last year and has, presumably, a refreshed offense this year. And if Hampton is healthy, I don't see why McDaniel can't unlock him (as long as the Chargers dogshit IOL doesn't get in the way). I only have Pollard on the bench so my depth is shit. But some random free agent will be around for pickup later.
My WR room is pretty speculative. Can DeVonta Smith work as WR1? Can McMillan improve or is he handicapped by Young? Can DJ Moore fill the long absent void that Diggs left? I like my depth here a lot, though. Adams or Pierce can easily make some noise. Concepcion was a camp monster but is obviously in a bad QB spot.
TE is my biggest weakness. LaPorta let me down big time last year but I went for him a second time. This is probably Kelce's last year but maybe that motivates him to go out on a high note.
Do I have the BEST team? Possibly not. ESPN power ranked me at 7th. But I think I have a team built to last the full season of injuries and unforeseen circumstances.
Note for those mad about Glenny Balls As fun as it is to bait using him in the thumbnail, he has been in our leagues whenever we did them so he is grandfathered in. He also has goodwill with me as a commissioner as he always pays his dues (unlike other ex-employees (Will Compton))).
