Deshaun Watson And Browns Fans Are Having An All Out WAR

What the fuck did I just watch? 

Just when I thought the Browns franchise couldn’t be any more of a dumpster fire, Deshaun Watson one upped every single embarrassing story of my lifetime. This press conference is hands down the most awkward situation I’ve ever seen. I mean, it’s officially a war. There’s really no other way to put it. Deshaun Watson and the Browns fans are at war.

Here’s my take on the situation:

The crux of the issue is that Deshaun has been an AWFUL player in Cleveland. Let’s be very clear about that, Deshaun. We mortgaged our future in terms of 1st round draft picks AND signed you to the richest guaranteed contract in the history of the league. And you have either been hurt, awful, or hurt and awful for the entirety of you time here.

So people can talk about his baggage and the massage scandal and all that (and they're absolutely within their right to do so) but the large majority of Browns fans are booing because he's fucking sucked. If he came in and won, my gut tells me the public perception of him with the fanbase would be WAY different. Would he still have haters? Of course. But I think he’d have defenders too. But again, he's been truly awful and it's hands down the worst trade in sports history. So along with that booing for his performance, it’s also very easy for everyone to take the moral high ground against him too (which they have because the stories that came out about Deshaun were weird, gross, and very public)

So I guess the question is where do the Browns go from here. And I’m pretty sure the only solution is to cut him? He can’t act like that to the fans AND fucking suck. He’s gotta go!

But if I’m being honest, as much as Deshaun certainly deserves the hate for his personal decisions he made, the Browns deserve A LOT of hate too. If this guy gets cut because the baggage is becoming too much, then he never should’ve been traded for and paid a quarter of a billion dollars in the first place. Point being, the Browns got themselves into this Deshaun Watson mess. It’s not like these allegations originated while he was with the team. We knew the stories — and we said we want that guy! 

Bottom line, the whole thing is a fucking mess and I think the only move is to cut ties. Like what happens if he starts and plays well? Do we RE-SIGN him? That would be the most Cleveland Browns move of all time. Just when everyone is counting down the days to part ways with him, he plays well enough to bring him back. But more likely than that, what if he fucking sucks again? Browns fans are going to riot in the stands. And it appears Deshaun wants to fight back because he’s just as sick of them too….

Alright that’s what I got for you. Deshaun is a bad guy. The Browns made their bed and now they’re gotta sleep in it. But I also don’t see how this ends in anything other than a disaster. Which also stinks because now first year coach Todd Monken is going to have to start Shedeur, and the Browns are going to be a comical dumpster fire that goes 3-14, for about the 50th time in my life already.
