Free Agent Signings Don't Get Any Bigger Than This - The Pacers' Championship Is Officially Back On With Kelly Oubre Jr. Coming To Town

Holy shit. It's Happening. I'm picking my jaw up off the floor. LeBron James who? Free Agency moves don't get much bigger than this. Kelly Oubre Jr. has officially signed a two year deal with the Indiana Pacers. Get the parade buses ready, the championship dream is officially back on for the city of Indianapolis. 

All sarcasm aside - I like this signing. The Pacers made in a point that they don't want to touch their core 7, nor should they. The chemistry with this team is too good to move anyone and attempt to plug in another player that might not fit. Adding depth on the bench through affordable free agent signings is the move. Oubre isn't the sexiest addition, but he adds length, rebounding, and a guy who can drive to the basket. I wish he was a better shooter, but you aren't going to get a perfect player this cheap in FA. 

I'm not sure if the Pacers have any room left in what little cap room they have so sign someone else, but a back up center that isn't Micah Potter would get me excited. Whatever the Pacers next move is, this latest move was a great one when building a championship roster. I'm sure no Knicks fan was excited when New York first picked up Landry Shamet, but it's these little roster additions that end up winning games for you in the playoffs.
