Hugh Jackman Wants The Next Wolverine To Do “Whatever The Fuck They Want”

We had Hugh Jackman and writer/director Michael Sarnoski on our latest episode to talk about their new movie ‘THE DEATH OF ROBIN HOOD’. The megastar was everything you’d expect — devastatingly charismatic, thoughtful in every answer, and far too handsome to be sitting down with a couple of schlubs like us. We mostly talked about their upcoming take on the folk legend which is being released by A24 in theaters this weekend — it features Jackman in a role that will remind many of his turn in ‘LOGAN’ and, as Kenjac guessed and Hugh confirmed, draws closely to Clint Eastwood’s performance in ‘UNFORGIVEN’. He’s on his A-game here is what I’m getting at and it’s a movie I’d highly recommend, especially to fans of Sarnoski’s breakout movie ‘PIG’ starring Nic Cage… With that being said, we couldn’t resist getting at least *one* question about his most iconic role in there…

Who would you want to wear the claws next? My pick is Taron Egerton (jacked, English speaking but non-American accent, loves musical theater — all the pre-requisites for a great onscreen Wolverine as far as I can tell) but it seems like he might be in Netflix jail for the foreseeable future.
