NASCAR Legend Kyle Busch Dies Following Severe Illness

The NASCAR world has lost another legend today as two time Cup Series Champion Kyle Busch passed away.

Just early today it was reported that Kyle Busch was admitted to the hospital with what we only know is being called a "severe illness".

Kyle was originally slated to compete in the festivities at Charlotte this weekend, as he did last weekend at Dover Motor Speedway, where he got his 69th Truck Series win. Just last Friday, Kyle took his last bow saying "Because you never know when the last one is".

I could list thousands of Kyle Busch's racing accomplishments but that does no justice explaining the kind of person he was. Kyle was just as good of a father as he was a driver. He took pride in coaching his son Brexton into the best version of himself. He leaves behind his wife Samantha, son Brexton, and daughter Lennix in addition to thousands of Rowdy Nation fans across the world.

He was a friend of the program and was always willing to take time for everyone, like he did in this 2019 interview, or the several times he came on Rubbin' is Racing. While I was fascinated by the iconic #18 M&M's diecast long before I was even a NASCAR fan, meeting the guy wheeling it back then was a big part of the reason I fell in love with the sport. 

Kyle Busch was one of those few drivers that transcended the sport. Even non-racing fans knew who he was; a household name for good reason. Many voices from both in and outside of the NASCAR world took to social media to share their condolences
