White Sox Dave Does Not Understand What The Word "Hypothetical" Means
White Sox Dave and I got into a screaming match AFTER we thought we were done taping with the latest Brain Clash on the Dog Walk podcast. The show is WSD and I debating topics where we each have to take a side, even if you don't truly believe it. Nick Turani and Eddie moderate and give points to the guy who presents a better case. We do it once a month and it's pretty fun, but this drove me crazy.
The topic we rehashed was "at your current age, what would you rather be obsessed with: dinosaurs or trains?"
Dave got to choose first and went dinosaurs. Both were solid options but he presented one of the worst arguments of all-time. His main case was he thinks dinosaurs are cool and he watches some YouTube shorts on them once in awhile. He was somehow awarded the point in the argument and after trying to defend himself, he backtracked on everything and made me feel crazy.
Luckily, the entire program was taped so I pulled 'em.
Not only did he basically say he was obsessed with dinosaurs, but he refused to acknowledge we both have to take a side of an argument, even if we don't believe it. All of it is hypothetical. Unfortunately, White Sox Dave has no idea what hypothetical means.
