Pacers Finally Get Their Center In Ivica Zubac- 2027 Championship Run Starts NOW

Just like that, the Myles Turner sized hole in my heart has been stuffed full with 7 foot tall Croatian. I'm happy, but what was the cost? Two firsts, a second round pick,  Isiah Jackson, and maybe my favorite Pacer at the moment - Bennedict Mathurin. Benn will be missed, but his role on this team was a bit like fitting a square peg into a round hole. 

You've got to give a little, but the fact they'd get this years pick if it's 5-9 is a little wild. I mean, if we don't get 1-4 in the lottery, I don't care about this pick, but I hate potentially giving up your biggest draft asset. 

I consider myself a ball knower, but wasn't exactly how to feel getting a center with traits completely different than a stretch 5 like Myles Turner. But, the smartest voice when it comes to the Indiana Pacers, Caitlin Cooper, loves it, so I'm all in. 

What I do know is this is an upgrade over Myles Turner despite these two being completely different skill sets. It was sad to see Myles Turner go (until he acted like a diva on the way out) but Indiana dodged a MASSIVE bullet, and now get better at a position that definitely cost the Pacers an NBA championship. The grass is looking pretty damn green on the Pacers side of the fence right now, just need to continue the tank for the 1-4 lottery pick.
