"The Whole Staff Blows A Fucking Call. It's Some Bullshit" - Jaylen Brown Spoke Nothing But The Truth While Calling Out The NBA's Officials For Being The Absolute Worst

Coming off the absolute ass whooping via Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets, tonight served as a nice get back opportunity with the 2-4 Jazz coming to town on the second night of a back to back. Surely, this would be a great opportunity for the Celts to get back on track, play well and start to build positive momentum right?

Ha, you fool. Don't be ridiculous. The second I saw the Celts were double digit favorites entering tonight, I knew what that meant. I've seen them lose this exact game 10,000 times in my life, and that certainly was with better rosters than we're seeing at the moment.

So what happened? Naturally, the Celts lost in embarrassing fashion giving up a game losing OREB buzzer beater putback to Jusurf Nurkic. We'll talk all about that tomorrow, because boy was it a doozy.

At the moment, let's discuss what took place in the final 40 seconds, with the Celtics holding onto a 1 point lead.

Uhhhhhh yeah, that's a trip. In the NBA, all trips are automatic fouls. Given the situation in the game, that in theory should have put Jaylen at the line (10-11) for a chance to go up 3. Instead, it led to a Jazz transition basket, ultimately Neemy went 1-2 at the line on the next trip and then boom, buzzer beater OREB.

But objectively, that's about as easy a call as you're ever going to possibly have to make. It's almost impossible to get wrong/not call. I'm not saying this play is why the Celts lost this game in pathetic fashion (it's not). I'm not even saying the refs weren't operating on the level. But with everything going on in the NBA right now with all that stuff? It's hard to ignore. Especially when you hear what they told Jaylen Brown about it, who certainly did not hold back after the game

We didn't see it? I mean, you have to come up with a better lie than that! What do you mean nobody saw it? It happened right in the middle of the court! If you are watching the play, how do you not see it? What do they think happened? We all know the L2M report tomorrow will tell us that was a trip, and I have to be honest, Jaylen is pretty composed in that clip, all things considered. You can tell he's really trying to avoid that 50K fine, but Silver will probably do it anyway because Jaylen is telling the truth when it comes to how poor these officials have been for years now.

The NBA is so obsessed with new idea, how about they instead focus on the one thing that is truly ruining their product? Their officiating has been complete dogshit for years now, and every year Adam Silver and the league continue to decide to do nothing about it. It's insane. Will there be any accountability for any of those officials for a play like that tonight? Of course not! And who gives a shit about it costing the Celts a win. Losses are just as valuable for them as a win this season, so that's not even the point. The point is that shit like this continues to happen all across the league, every single night. Add in all the gambling bullshit that's currently happening right now as well, for a league that cares so much about the integrity of the game, how do you sit back and do nothing while your officials make mistakes like this that are directly impacting the outcome? It's bananaland stuff really.

In the bigger picture in terms of the result of the game, maybe don't miss 40+ 3s, get outrebounded by a billion and allow 69 points in the second half. I'd say those were all just as significant factors in this awful loss as that missed call.

Even still, you can't make that mistake in that moment, and it's a good thing Jaylen has that supermax money, because he'll probably be asked to write a check tomorrow.
