Call Me Crazy, But I Don't Think Saudi Arabia Will Actually Be Hosting 2034 World Cup Matches on Top of a Skyscraper

I've said in multiple blogs before, including one this morning, that I appreciate China's willingness to do anything. If there's a crazy idea out there in the world, you can rest assured that China is going to give it a whirl, consequences be damned. Saudi Arabia is kinda like the opposite of that. Well... maybe "opposite" isn't the right word. They're like, 50% of the way there. They've got the "trying" part down. They're very much willing to say they'll do anything. But when it comes to following through, and actually completing the project in the way it was presented... I'm just not quite sure they have that part down. 

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe every part of Saudi Arabai's 2030 Vision Plan will turn out exactly as they said it will. 

According to their Investment Minister, they're already 85% complete! (or on track to be...)

But at the same time, you see reports of this nature…

So color me skeptical. 

I just imagine the wealthy and powerful Saudi's who run the country sitting around a solid gold board room all day, while some high schooler who knows his way around Sora AI presents them with sick ideas. That's what all of these futuristic cities, stadiums, airports, etc. designs look like to me. A 17-year old kid's idea of what the FUTURE will look like.

But who am I to say? I suppose we'll have to wait and see what Saudi Arabia looks like years from now. To be fair to them, I don't even know if this 1,000-foot tall soccer stadium legitimately their idea. I don't see them outwardly denying it anywhere. Although even if this project is completely made up (it would almost be shocking if it wasn't) Saudi Arabia probably loves that people think they're working on it. So they're not going to correct anybody. But that high-rise skyscraper soccer stadium is all over the internet today. A substantial number of people seem to believe that 2034 FIFA World Cup matches will be really taking place in THAT thing.

Call me crazy… I'd love nothing more than that tattletale coward Old Takes Exposed to call me out on this 9 years from now… because it would admittedly be pretty cool if that stadium existed in real life… but I just really don't think that's going to happen.
