At this point it just is what it is. This ain't our year. The defense is old and washed, and without Jayden the offense has a ceiling and the ceiling just isn't high enough. 

The biggest issue is obviously Joe Whitt Jr's horrendous scheme on defense. He has no clue what he's doing. None. The fact playing man was actually working and then he switched to a soft zone and let Mahomes carve him up is one of the most idiotic coaching decisions you'll ever see. And Mahomes took full advantage of the idiocy, making easy work of our terrible zone and lack of any sort of pass rush.

There were all sorts of boneheaded decisions on all 3 sides of the ball. Throwing a hail mary to nobody on 4th and 1 was an interesting call for sure. Jaylin Lane fumbling the kickoff was as bad as it gets. The Deebo fumble on the opening drive. Quan Martin playing a single snap at all. 

With a healthy Jayden this team is able to cover up the many holes and injuries that plague them. Without Jayden this team has a long, long way to go. And for the love of god, fire Joe Whitt Jr. At least give the defense a chance to do something. As long as Joe Whitt Jr is here, this team has zero chance.
