NY Post- These travel-ready treats are known to fly off the shelves.

The eSIM provider Holafly analyzed keyword search volumes both nationwide and by state to determine what are the most popular snacks available in airports.

Nationwide, America’s favorite cookie took the top spot. Oreos had 113,380 searches across the country, bringing it to number one.

I feel like I travel a good amount. With streams in Chicago and different events in places like Arizona and around the country I find myself in the airport a bunch. I usually spend my time as the enforcement agency of people trying to cut me off by getting out of their row before me, but like most people who arrive early for their flight I will walk the snack stands and peruse the aisles looking for the snack I'll eat in the first 3 minutes of the flight. I'll admit it- the selection can be somewhat overwhelming at times. Tons of options, big bags, little bags, and heavy price tags. Sometimes you end up just grabbing something you don't even want because you just need to get the hell out of Hudson News.

So now a new Top Ten list of snacks has dropped and it felt necessary to judge it. I really have no qualms about any of the products on there, and I love an Oreo as much as anyone, but I do have some questions as to ordering Oreos before getting on a flight as they tend to show on your teeth. Same with Cheetos but they taste so damn good you can't refuse.

But the thing that jumped out to me here was what WASN'T on the list. And that is pretzels. Now I know people are going to say "well you get them on the plane so it's overkill", and to that I STRONGLY disagree. Pretzels are a perfect snack for an airport. If they sold bags of pretzels at the airport by the pallet I'd be lugging that thing behind me at gate 34. Pretzels are all in all a perfect snack- Light, tasty, and won't spill or show up on your teeth or melt. Call me a plain Jane but Pretzels were disrespected here folks…DISRESPECTED.
