According To SEC Fans, Ohio University Would Beat Alabama
Let me be clear on one thing: I personally do not think Ohio University would win the SEC. I think when push comes to shove, on a neutral field, Alabama's depth probably gets to them late in the second half. So this blog is not authored by me, rather it is authored by the SEC fans that were deep in my mentions on Saturday night when Mississippi State was up 17 on Texas with 9 minutes to go in the game. And they decided that since Mississippi State was beating Ohio State's Week 1 opponent by more than the Buckeyes did (with time left on the clock), that meant one of the worst teams in the SEC was better than the current #1 team in the country.
First of all, check the final score, boys.
But second of all, are we serious? Using the Transitive Property in college football is one of the dumbest things someone can do. Every single game is different. And at the time, Texas was supposed to be the best team in College Football. And Ryan Day was throwing a first time starting QB into the fire. So no shit he was conservative on offense? But then I got to thinking, if we use the SEC fans logic of since Mississippi State was beating Texas by more than the Buckeyes, then I'll give it a go and see what I can figure out. Here's what I got:
Alabama lost in Week 1 to Florida State:

The Pitt beat Florida State:

And West Virginia beat Pitt:

And Ohio University beat West Virginia:

Therefore, according to SEC fans, Ohio University doesn't just beat Alabama, they beat them by 31 points. Would Ohio U win the SEC by more than 4 touchdowns?
And wait, Ohio State beat the Bobcats by 28….

Therefore on a neutral field, in the playoff, should Bama get a chance to play the big boys of college football, don't expect much. SEC fans have that one chalked up as Buckeyes by 56 points.
*I think it would be closer
