Both Terry Rozier And Chauncey Billups Were Just Arrested By The FBI In Connection With A Massive Sports Gambling Probe

It took the NBA being back a total of one (1) day before shit went off the rails, and based on what happened early Thursday morning, I'd say that's exactly what has happened

Uhhhhhhhh holy shit?

Today's news is obviously just the beginning of all this, and while I'm sure the details will eventually come out, I think we can all agree this is in fact #NotGood right? I don't know much about the FBI, my law expertise is basically just watching Law & Order SVU reruns every night while I fall asleep, but I feel like they don't exactly mess around with stuff like this. They don't act until they know they have you by the balls I would imagine, no?

I do think it's notable that tidbit of info we learned about Billups stated his issue isn't around games he coached, which I'm sure was a relief to Adam Silver. Unfortunately, my guess is that more is going to come out that he may not love so much. Having already dealt with the Jontay Porter situation, any time a pro sports league is tied up in any sort of sports gambling probe by the FBI, that can get pretty dicey rather quickly.

Sadly, I think we all know how this goes. This is only going to be the beginning. I'm going to go out on a limb and say this whole investigation/probe is not just around the behavior of Malik Beasley, Terry Rozier, and Chauncey Billups. I wouldn't be shocked at all if this was just the tip of the iceberg.

I guess when we say "The NBA is back" we don't just mean what's happening on the court. The off-court drama aspect is just as big a part of an NBA season as the games, and I'm not sure it gets bigger than this. The first two nights of games were awesome, and then now we have a massive FBI sting operation. The 2025-26 NBA season is 2 days old! There's truly no league like it.
