I Thought Charlie XCX's Appearance On SNL As Role Model's "Sally" Last Night Was Massively Underwhelming

Maybe it was because the stage is the size of a studio apartment, or maybe it's because the studio audience is essentially silent so you can let the act perform, or maybe it's because I'm old and to be honest I only know Charlie XCX's name as "oh I've heard that name on tv,social media or the radio" but had to ask my wife "what does she sing?" only to get "A million things you fucking idiot" this morning but I left this performance underwhelmed. I made it a point to watch it last night expecting Role Model (who I have seen perform at MSG) go all out for his guest, now you could say he did for a younger crowd but the old guy like me was disappointed. 

Especially after seeing Hilary Duff put on A FUCKING CLINIC last week.

Felt like Charlie had no interest in being there and was probably full from her dinner with her friends and Gaz at 4 Charles and was just waiting for the performance to end so she could hit Little Sister at the after party and chop it up with the rest of the brat summer girls. Either go all in, or don't do it … but maybe that's just me. 

Also … I had to make sure she was still alive, but if Role Model catered to the 90's kids and brought out the queen Sally … Sally Jesse Raphael what a moment it would have been.
