Charles Oliveira Just Called Out Max Holloway For The BMF Title After Moving To 7-0 In Brazil

After extending his streak to 7-0 in his home country, and quite frankly making it look easy tonight - becoming the first person to finish Mateusz Gamrot in his entire career - I think it's fair to say "Charles Oliveira in Brazil" is very worthy of his mythical fighter status. What a fucking performance. I don't think that crowd in Rio even had to worry for a moment because Oliveira pretty much shut down Gamrot immediately and never let him in the fight.

Many (including myself) were a bit concerned that "Do Bronxs" was returning too soon after getting brutally KO'd by Ilia Topuria this Summer, but clearly he knew better than us - and he was more than ready to go. Oliveira moves to the leader in UFC finishes and submissions with this win (and ties Mirko Cro Cop for the most finishes in UFC/WEC/PRIDE/Strikeforce history) and celebrated with his family and friends in the crowd and in the octagon afterwards....

Shoutout to Jose Aldo for the OG famous run-into-the-crowd celebration in Brazil - the UFC gave him a nice retirement segment tonight….

Oliveira once again called out Max Holloway for the BMF Championship in his post-fight interview, which has been talked about by both men recently, and I don't think anyone would object to that. If two of the biggest fan-favorite savages in the history of MMA want to duke it out for the title of "Baddest Motherfucker" - you gotta let them do that. Plus, there's the built in redemption storyline for Charles considering he got knocked out by Max in their first fight over ten years ago.

I say let em at it! Book the rematch Dana/Hunter!
