Vitor Petrino Almost Took This Poor Guy's Head Off At UFC Rio

UFC Rio has been off and running since earlier this evening and we've seen a ton of finishes so far - but none quite as impressive as this one from Vitor Petrino in my eyes. He hit Thomas Peterson with an uppercut-hook combo so vicious that his body did this....

It's never great when your body falls forwards and your head snaps backwards, forming a letter C with your spine. I'd say you never want to be in that position in general but ESPECIALLY not in the octagon. That'll leave you susceptible to attacks like this….

We've still got the main/co-main event left, one featuring Charles Oliveira and one featuring Deiveson Figueiredo, but the Brazlians are currently 6-4 on this card and on a four fight losing streak. Figgy and Charles are gonna have to turn that around quick if they want to send this crowd home happy.
