BOOOO: The Guy Who Went Viral For Catching Josh Allen's Pass In The Stands And Running Away Had To Return The Game Ball That Night

We all saw this play on Sunday night and even had people calling it a massive IQ play. 

Slight problem here. He didn't get to keep the ball:

[Source] - “They came to me and they had said, we know who you guys are, you sit in these seats often, can you please have him return the ball, we will get you another one,” she said. “And I explained, ‘Well, we were promised that in the past, and we didn’t get the ball, so that’s kind of why he took off with it.'”

“I did wind up going back to the seat and happily returned the ball,” he said. “They did give me another ball in exchange, so this ball unfortunately is not the actual ball that Allen threw that I caught. However, all is right with the world: no theft occurred; there was no stolen property.”

What the hell? You shouldn't have to return the ball if you're successfully navigate your way out of the stadium with it. I don't care about NFL rules, this should be added. If you can get up the steps, out the gates, before anyone stops you, that ball is yours. No trades, no fake ball that you have to pretend is as cool as the one Josh Allen threw to you. I loved the idea by this guy, showed off hands and speed and got the hell out of there. He won over Tirico with his play, which is good enough to keep the ball. 

But he got screwed for being loyal. The fact they go to games all the time, you had people know who he is. That's even more reason to let him keep the ball. We hear all the time about Bills Mafia and how they are the best and endure heartbreak after heartbreak, you can't add in having to give the game ball back. It's time to reward loyalty and athleticism. Plus, what's the point of getting that ball back? There's no shot they used it again that game, just go buy another ball if you're the NFL. 

Also, you gotta negotiate a little bit better than this. I get it's your team and you're a loyal fan, but a trade of balls isn't worth happily returning the real one. Get an autograph, ask to have a catch with Josh Allen, do something to up the ante a bit.
