John Mara Needs To Apologize To Every Giants Fan After The New Saquon Documentary Shows Mara Refusing His Trade Request When Contract Talks Stalled

Look, I think it's dumb as shit that Saquon has a documentary coming out, mostly because we don't need a documentary for every single thing these days. Just make documentaries on things that are finished and actually worth a story. I also think it's dumb as shit, because I knew I was going to get mad at something. This is it. Well, that and Saquon coming off as a prick when it came to the Giants, but also John Mara.

I said it from the moment the Giants drafted him. It was a mistake. John Mara thought the Giants were ready to compete for a Super Bowl and the one missing part was a running back. That would make sense if there was reason to believe that or had an average offensive line. None of that was true, so instead you wasted a top pick on Saquon only for him to burn you and make you look like a fool. 

Saying you weren't going to honor his trade request because he's too valuable to the franchise might be dumber than taking him 2nd overall. You could have shipped him out to Baltimore, got some stuff back and moved on with life earlier instead of having this be a meme for years to come: 

This is where we need John Mara out of the business. The family has owned the family forever, let him do that, but stop trying to make decisions when it comes to football. Otherwise we end up with our pants around our ankles, a laughingstock and dumb decisions all over the place. Just hire guys, without it being your dumbass nephew, who can run the football team. Let them make the decisions about who should be on the roster and what not. Saquon should have been traded, if he still ended up with the Eagles after that, so be it. But denying a trade because you're scared how it looks is pathetic.
